John, I have seen it many times, I had mine in Marion, which is where the pictures were taken, Mattapoisett is the next harbor over, but he keeps it at Burr Brothers in Marion. I live only a couple miles from the boat if you had any questions, I would be happy to look at it and talk to the owner. I talked to him a bunch of times in the past. nice guy, but don't know him personally.

I don't know what a "reasonable" offer is in his mind for a "buy it now", but I know 20K is not even close. I am sure I could get a "range" of what is reasonable in his mind.

Scott-

Thanks. I'm sure you're right that $20K isn't close. If need be, I may take you up on your offer to look at her.

I just happened to e-mail him with maybe a crazy thought I might jump on a turn key 31, (yeah right) and he wants 89k but reserve is much lower. I think I'll just keep plugging away at saving up for my 6BTA's I have a quest for. BTW I went down and met Tony Athens, I can say nothing but great about him, you should see his place, nice. I got to see most of his project boats and first hand his exhaust designs- so cool! Of course main reason for going there was for quote for engines/transmissions, he is definitely a man of pride and know-how, love to show me his stuff and shop. Most owners wouldn't want customers near "there stuff", not Tony, we talked a while! (sorry for highjacking thread)

Nice looking boat. Sounds like a good deal even at $89K

This part of the add does not look right.

Cruise at 23 knots/2800 rpms, and burn only 7 GPH (that is for both engines - all in).

Are people really getting 3.29 knots per gallon running at 23 knots? I'm not getting anything close to that. I get about half that.

Ernest, I get 22 kts at 2800 rpm burning about 12 to 13 gals total. 1990 28 FBC Yanmar 240's. The add is wrong.

Although it isn't an Anniversary Edition -- this appears to be a better value.

Something has to wrong with it. The engines alone would almost be worth it.
