The only fish that didn't make it.....

I have his bill in my freezer. I'm looking for someone to make an engraved metal cap for it. It was 75 pounds, and caught on a fly rod with 25 pound tippet. I know.......that's only a 3:1 ratio but I was hoping for a 500 pound blue marlin.....

Story I heard that night on the whisky deck at TSL was that the mate reached out with the gaff for the Prof's tippet and the sail jumped on the gaff. Me's thinks that is a good story and he's sticking to it. Mike - you can buy a sterling silver napkin ring for about 25 bucks most places and it makes a great bill cap and easily engraved by any good jewler.

Nice Pix. I think I have one of your Rooseter sail caught about 30 feet from the bank......

I'm reminded of a Groucho Marx joke....

"We took some pictures of some native girls, but they weren't developed. So we're going back again in two weeks..."

Hal,
I took that first shot of the yellow boat and sent it to you.
