Diesel additives

Post by In Memory Walter K »

My mechanic just told me that he has tested locally delivered Diesel fuel and has found the Cetane levels far below par. He recommends adding Cetane Boost to my fuel. Earlier Bruce had recommended an additive called Standyne (I think). The only thing I have ever added was Bio-Bor to kill/control algae growth. Not having any experience on the subject, I'd appreciate any help I can get. Given the price of fuel, I wouldn't be surprised at any games that might be played with the product. Walter

Walter et al,

I use the stanadyne. I guess it is good, it sure doesn't do harm.

With the Yanmars, they start easy, don't smoke and run smooth, and get great economy.

the Stanadyne product is supposed to enhance all of that.

A no lose proposition as far as I see it!
