Final Question - side windows

My son has been able to locate smoke laminated windows. He would like to know if the windows should be snug top to bottom. I don't think the original windows were snug. It seems there should be a gap because of the bridge weight being changed due to people moving around and the stress of the boat movement. Any good answer would be appreciated.

Are you asking as in Snug in the metal track. The original side windows slid and could be coaxed out by lifting on them. So, they are snug, but they are not tight so that they don't move. But it should be a good fit. Yes too tight and I would expect you could crack them.

I would also assume for those that put in the new ones with new frame, with the window as one piece, would be a pretty tight fit. Maybe someone who has done the conversion can answer that one.

My son is using the plastic tracks that fit into the metal track. It fits snugly side to side and slides easily. He is concerned about the height. Thanks for your input.
