Boat Show B31

Got an email this morning from Bertram....

------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Patrick,

We are looking for a 31 for the show. We have several options at this point, but I want to make sure I don’t miss out on that special 31 that I haven’t seen. We will pay all expenses to put the boat in the show and detail it and don’t foresee a ton of traffic on board, as it will just be a nostalgic piece anchoring our display to show the direction we are going. The point is, we will take good care of it. I’m sure there is someone out there really wants to show off their pride and joy. Let me know if you know someone and feel free to send them my information.

This year the show is Nov 5th to the 9th, but I suspect we would need the boat in Lauderdale from Oct 25th to Nov 12th

( I asked Tommy if he was looking for an original or a tricked out version and his reply was: )

I suspect the best message would be to show a newly tricked out boat. Because those are the tweaks we looked at the most over the last few months when thinking about this 35. Overall though the message is that we are going back to Bertram's roots, so either would work.

I would consider the opportunity, boat has been in storage for 2years but I think she will be ready for the challenge, kinda tricked out. I also have my
42 margaritavich y in the show, my new ride has also caused me to put her in the storage mode, both need someone to appreciate custom sport fish

Marlin

You should go for it.

The only redone I have seen as late be Jimmy G's.

I am sure we have others out there. I know some are in the middle of the rebuild and will not be ready.

Here are some 31's near Lauderdale that would represent well. They are all for sale, so they might be able to find some prospects if they place their boats @ the Bertram exhibit:

Marlin,

Love the Margaritavitch:

She's a well kept beauty. I've loved Rybovich for many years. Their boats are amazing!

If they want an original one that's my boat, other than the Yanmars, and it's clean like from the factory. If they'd pay to have me run it over from the Bahamas I'd consider.

Steve and others that may be interested,

If you're interested don't rely on this forum to get the message through to Bertram...

Someone ought to pop Jerry Santiago an email. I believe his boat is in Miami and would be a good modern up grade of a classic for the show and not have to travel far.

Regardless of who brings their boat, I think its great that they want a B31 there.

Bertram is paying the freight. Throw your hat in the wring. You have nothing to loose, and who knows, you might make some great connections.

Jimmy

Have Killer Instinct in the show with your videos running. That'd be pretty cool

Bob Lico where are you?.....pheonix surely has to be in the finals for this pegent.

(Though I do like the idea of killer instinct with the videos running.)

My 2 cents.

If Bertram was smart, they would show an original, a tricked out off the deep end, and then one in the middle.

Then they can tell everyone, we are going to build them as good as these were built, so in 40 years you can just redo it and have the latest and greatest.
