I run a 33 FBC from MTK, not a B31, but would like to share timely offshore fishing info with other Bertram diehards.
Would be interesting to know where the most B31 are around the country in addtion to LI.

I can think of one across from Montauk Marine Basin and 3 more at Gone Fishing. That would make at least 9.

Charlie,

There's you, me, Kevin, and Craig that I know for sure. Then there is "Kathie" (still for sale), and one I don't know the owner on Woodcleft, and another on Hudson for a known total of 7. Then there are a few I see from the inlet but don't know where they stay. There are also 2 on the hard for a long time and one at Treasure Island being restored. Taking a conservative guess, I would say there are at least a dozen in our area. Then there is Dick Dean in Fire Island.

There is a yellow Bahia Mar 31 at Jacksons that showed up last summer so I think that would make 6 for Hampton Bays.

Since "Blue Beard" considers itself from Montauk so I assume Three Mile Harbor is not included in that count, in Three Mile Harbor there are two 31s, one FBC-"Wits End" and a Bahia Mar-"Bahia Mar".

Jerry Gomber bought either Kiddie Kar or Green H and moved it out of Freeport. It is now named Triton. Both of those boats came to my yard for winter and now neither one does.

Sorry for the oversite Randall. Maybe I'll check out the Volvo postings with my extra time .....
In a past life I was 4 boats away from Fred on that dock in Eastport. Always liked his boat. Bought one when I moved to NC.

Alright now only in Florida do you get to count chads twice. So let's get it right with all these 31's up there, can't have all these phantoms being counted twice.

Timmy gonna wanna start counting HATT'S next and there no telling how many that could be considering we would have to use a sonar to find some.

Randall-Theres a guy on Shelter Island named Bill Smith. He used to run an organization called Fish Unlimited. He was also very involved with the expoure of Smithaven Laboratories dumping of radioactive water. He always claimed to have a 31 on Shelter Island and when you say this boat is on dry land, it makes me suspect it's his. Last I saw of him, he was pushing a book he wrote on Tuna, and was running someone elses boat out of Montauk two years ago to make some bucks...but didn't see him at all last season. Walter

The Green H is now Triton II and is on the NJ side of Raritan Bay.
And, I miss the Freeport area!

charlie,

John's No Limit---i think was George Sayer's boat that ran out of Freeport---it was called No Problem when George ran it.

I have seen Kevin Sayer post lately---did he finish the restoration of his boat?
