FWC 440/330hp for sale

Post by Bruce »

I got another 31 on the repower rack when I return from Texas.
Installing a pair of the new Volvo 260/4's common rail.
Owner wants to sell the gassers.

500hrs since majors. Done right by the local Mopar guy who is good.
FWC including manifolds.
Risers are cupro-nickel into a single center outlet.

Engines run real good and look as if they are brand new.

1500.00 each with gear.
Call me if you are interested.

Volvo posted useful life

Post by Bruce »

I was looking over the new 260 CR Volvo's delivered to the shop today for a 31.

In reading the label on the engine next to model and serial it had a line that stated "Useful life". 1000 hours or 10 years.

1000 hours?

That kinda sucks. Glad it wasn't my recomendation to use the Volvo's.

I doubt it's a typo. My guess is that the typical boat owner puts on about 100 hours per year, hence the 10 year/1000 hour rating. That way, the owner isn't surprized when his engine is a pile of rust when the time comes.....
