Well I'm heading down for the Bertram Hatterasssssss shootout tommorow (Boat Harbour). Hoping to keep the trophy on the Bertram side of the fence this year. Wish us luck.
I'll update upon my return.

Only reason that Timmy is using the low door building is because he couldn't find a basement to use...

Walter, Beau took to her better than the other dogs. She's a little hellion, and I'm guessing she going have some big run. Her names Jazz

Pete, express sportfish.

Seems that this spring is the time to get new or additional dogs in NE!

Tim, we will have to get Jazz and Marly together to play!

This morning Marly was able to keep up with me running. Yesterday, she wasn't able to. She learned to climb stairs on Sunday, and gets along with my parents dogs famously.

Fun...

Congrats Tim.

Well thank God that's over. Bertram did not win overall points and the first 2 places were held by Hatterass. Fish Tales won (again) total points and Grey Ghost was second (with Ray Rosher on board)
Third place overall was Rowdy a 60 Bertram.
There were certainly more newer Bertrams in the tournament than Hat's. It looks like Hatterass called a bunch of older boat owners to come and attend.
As it was the turnout by both sides was down to only 30 boats. 16 Bert's and 14 Hatt's.
Over 50% of the boats did not catch a fish. So needless to say fishing was SLOW. To top it off we were shaggin weed off the plugs every minute or so. We ended seeing 2 blues and coming tight on a dropping a smaller billfish, sail or whitey we couldn't tell. The hornets were there to keep things interesting. We had a couple near 40 pounds.
We got to fish with the new VP of quality for Bertram and the plans sound positive for the company. As far as the boats go they are steadily moving away from the hardcore anglers and traveling fisherman of the US market and it sounds as though they are looking into the European/Saudi market for the yachting fisherman who puts maybe 200 hours a year on the boat.
Hatterass sounds like they are on the balls of their ass right now with Brunswick hurting from over extension and a poor market. The new 77 was their and was a beast compared to Bertrams new 70.
Good tournament good friends lots of laughs. Beat working my real job.
