Kracor fuel tanks

Post by Stuart Cooperrider »

Someone mentioned Kracor plastic fuel tanks (Kracor.com) in an earlier thread. Anyone actually installed them or had any experience? Their largest permanent size is 105 gals so I'd guess you'd have to do a pair if you chose to go that way.
Thanks in advance.

Stuart,

I saw Krakor was being used by Southport boats. I have to believe they are over 105 gallons, but must be custom rotomolded for that line.

Other than the Southport line, I know of none others installed, but seems like a great option if it were not for tooling costs...

Thanks Dug,
My curiosity is high as I price out replacement tanks in Aluminum and SS.
Kracor uses a high density Polyethelene that so far has been positioned as safe with the big E.
Their site tops out at 105 gals for an internal tank although I suspect from your message that they might have contracts with builders that require something custom/larger.
Anyway, I'll keep exploring.
