Peter- we run a Honda 2000 for our crew team's chuck wagon tent. Thing has run all day on weekends for several years with nary a problem. Go with it, you will be happy.

Just remember gas gennies need lots of ventilation or they can kill you!

In the month of June and into early July we have bagged Mako to 600 lbs at the Coimbra. Close enough to run in if you are not comfy from either Shinnecock or FI inlets.

I think aluminum is cheaper now than zinc. That is what is driving aluminum sacrificials. All I've ever read or been told is that zincs are better, just because they degrade more easily.

Of course we all run aground. The difference is running any boat through a body of water you do not know hard enough to drive the struts straight through the hull. That is not the responsibility of the Army Corps of Engineer.
