Install the all thread, then rotate the coupling to make what you can't reach available.
Rotate the coupling as you tighten to bring each thread to you.

A little weight training on the upper body will build the pecks to the proper cushion.

What ever you do don't hammer on a coupling. Russ's suggestion works very well. A split coupling can have a set screw beside the two main side bolts. Until the 300hp Steyr comes out, you'll need to decide whether you want a 25 or 30 knot boat.

The faster boat will require the use of Yanmar.

Anything under that I would use a Steyr.

The additive I've been using for a long time is Standyne's.
Others may work, but I know this stuff is good.

It was recomended by the company that has done my Injectors, pumps and turbos. They see what crappy fuel can do.
