Delivered a 46 Bertram to Montauk in the early 90's. No provisions left on the boat so next morning before heading to La Guardia I had breakfast at the yachet club.

A couple of eggs, sausage, coffee and juice was 45 bucks. Ouch.

You can never pump all the water out 100%. The closest you can come is using a bronze pickup foot and a positive priming pump such as a shurflo.

You need to allow some standing water to keep the fiberglass from drying out.

Rules are the norm.

Lovetts are horrible. The older ones had an outlet size of 3/4 or 5/8 and if you replace with the rule 2500 which is 1-1/8 you'll have to up grade the whole hose and outlet fitting.

In checking my emails after returning from the show, I see two service bulletins stating that the glue used to hold some fuel filters together is dissolving and clogging the fuel systems under ethanol.

Check with your own filter makers and see if they are having the same problem.

I would experiment with trolling bags and one engine in gear before attempting to mount an outboard.

Locking the shaft on the neutral engine will create drag enough to slow the boat.

Both engines in gear at idle produces what speed now?
