All I can find seems to be a serial number right on to the Hynautic sticker. Any idea where I can find the k-19 or k-22

Joef,

Exactly, I just didn't quite know how to word it. I can't seem to find any numbers on my Hynautic cylinder. The only thing I know is the steeeing head number. It is my understanding that the cylinder is the number I need.

Thanks guys! I am leaning toward the AP-24 since it replaced the 16 but now has some added features I am looking for. Bob, does you boat hold steady in a quartering sea off the bow and what type of steering system do you have, Hynautic or Teleflex?

Capt. Pat, I have not yet purchased the pilot, the dealer and I are just trying to determine if I need to spend the extra $$$ for the 160 pump. I hate to spend the extra $600.00 if a 80 pump will work. I was thinking one of the faithful must have run into this issue before. According to Simrads Spec...

Simrad Autopilot Need Help w/ ??

I am having a Simrad Autopilot priced out for Fin Chaser. I need help from any of the faithful who have a fairly recent Simrad system. My question is do you have an 80 or 160 pump? and if you have the 80, does the boat steer straight in choppy seas or does it tend to zig-zag. I can save nearly $600....

Marked some fish at Masseys yesterday but could not get a bite on the troll. It was them, but they just were not feeding. Not much in the canyons but Whites and Mahi on the lobster/red crab gear.

Walter,

With my 20 x 22 nibrals I can turn 2625 wot. Some might say that too low, but my engine hours say it's fine. Our reduction is just about the same on our gears.

Joel,

A pair of 210's with zf gears turning 20 x 22 three blade, 24 knots @ 2400 and I carry 1500 lbs of lead in the boat. Don't sell the 210's short, they run forever without many headaches. Nearly 5000 hrs and still ruuning strong.

At those temps you may want to add 10 to 20% reducer. Is that temp constant or will it drop off over night? if so how low?

Need to ask; Why did you "tip" the paint ? Did it have small air bubbles? or just because you thought you have to. As I mentioned before many times you really don't need to "tip" if you use some of the newer rollers, 1/4 nap to too much. Spraying can be a real nightmare if you don't really know what...

That all was replaced several years ago and is still very solid the survey found no moisture anywhere. I should have mentioned that the boat was redone back in 94 with decks, bulkhead, rudder shelves, ect. I have also added Capt. Pats oversize rudders last year.

Bill,

The SmartRail is one of the best things I have done to my 31. Helps a little in heavy seas, but really cuts down on the spray in light to moderate seas. I only have them about 1/3 the way back since I wanted to help cut the spray and wasn't worried about rear lift.
