Rear windows

Couple of quick questions: Both of my rear windows are cracked. What is the best replacement, tempered glass or plexiglass? Any shortcuts would be appreciated. What is the best way to sound proof and weather proof the seams of my engine boxes? I am looking to stop water leaking on the motors and kee...

Interior Progress

I posted here some time ago about redoing my interior and just thought I would show you an update. Instead of making the improvements drastic we just updated the already functional interior. fuel gauge problem

A week and a half ago I had the boat dropped and ran her back to my slip. On the ride back we left a farely rough inlet and I noticed the fuel guage was below E (I know it was working before because I remember commenting to my buddy about it before we got to the inlet). At first I thought that it wa...

I thought about using those trim tab lights, but I really wanted to see a picture (or in person ) of them installed and in use.

I am leaning towards the aqua lights halogen thru hulls because they are upgradeable and a cleaner install.

Sounds like a good idea to go with the Aqua Light 75 watt halogens and then upgrade later to xenon. Any idea how much the xenon guts cost if I wanted to upgrade in the future?

Underwater Lights??? Suggestions

I want to get some underwater lights. Any suggestions on manufacturers, types (halogen, LED, Xenon, HID) Anybody ever used EFX Lighting, they seem very reasonably priced and they have a surface mounted light. Only problem is the housing is 316 Stainless (instead of bronze) and I am little concerned ...

So it sounds like I should have someone do the painting for me. So is awlgrip a good option for a 31 bertrams interior. Painting Interior Question

I was considering painting the interior with white or off white awlgrip paint. Does this look good, anyone have some pictures?

Would you do the paint job yourself or hire someone?

I have not applied awlgrip before, any tricks (roll, spray, brush?)

So I measured the tank and looks like it is 21.5" in height 33 inches wide and 78" long. If I figured the square footage to be about 32 cubic feet which would lead me to believe that it is the 222 gallon tank(taking into account the fiberglass mass, but it is 7.48 gallons per square foot). The only ...

When I had the engines surveyed by Cummins they said WOT was about 2850 for both engines (2854 and 2856).

Also is their any other way to tell the fuel tank size? I actually looked for any identidfication on the tank before and did not see any.

I am buying a 1972 31 Bertram with 1999 Cummins 330 6btas (750 hours). I had the boat survey done and everything came back good. I had the engines surveyed by Cummins and they did a "blow by test", at every rpm (every 200 rpm) increment had the reading at 2 or lower which is very good according to t...

I am looking to purchase a 31 Bertram that has updated motors and exterior but has a original interior.
