Tom,

3M Heavy Duty spray adhesive... Spray both surfaces and apply the sound down while the adhesive is still tacky. Don't let it dry out first like you would with contact cement. Home Depot or Lowes both carry it.

The transom zinc has two holes, usually drilled for 3/8" bolts. You'll use the first nut, backed with a flat & lock washer as your spacer. Use bronze nuts, bolts, and washers...

If the crack is just cosmetic, (gelcoat), an epoxy fairing will be all that's necessary. If it actually penetrates into the fiberglass, you'll need to grind out the fracture and re-glass using epoxy. It's most likely that it's just cosmetic...

When you rig your red lights, think about installing a dimmer. Red is a good night color, but intensity can often be a bigger factor in retaining your night vision.
