Peter ,

I took apart the old dash , had the down part recromed , and spraypainted the inlay with silver and finished with 6 coats of clear varnish.

Put new gauges in as you can see and new " FIRE" buttons..

Walther , even I had to have a permit for this, it costed me $ 50,- :shock: :-D , for the winter season 2011-2012 !!!! In the old days you could sell anything you want on the ice without a permit.( this was a hole in the law ). I didn't see a tax inspector, so what can I say.......Better luck next t...

John,

not a lot to say after the ole Capster , but go for alw grip !!

It is pretty easy to get a nice even finish with it aslong it is not to warm and humid, if this is the problem use more reducer ,10-15% at normal conditions and 20-25% when it is warm.

if you have the first series of BY 260 ( whit the plastic covers ) add an extra inch of pitch and you will be fine. Hi Walher, indeed it is and I can say it looks better than most spray coats. I have 3 painters working for me that learned it the traditional way and the guys are the best !! Its AWL grip with 7.5 % reducer and a couple of belt sanded brushes that do the trick...( and of course the brush manager !) ...

Just checking with you guys, November was the driest november since November 1932 here in The Netherlands. The rivers are at their lowest height ever.. Average temperature is also much higer... last year we had snow and -5 Celcius Today it was nice and sunny with 12 Celcius....thats 17 degrees diffe...

after taking the tank out , took out the rudder bearings an stuffing boxes , closed the old deckwash seacock...made a rudder table ..dropped the P brackets..decided to go gor a pvc rub rail.... I HATE THIS SITE !! i browse it every evening and go to bed what else can be done to my boat !! Thanks Cap...

Thanks all of you for the tips and tricks.... chlorine didn't help ... like some of you said it appears to be on the backside of the fabric..
