Re: Eastwind 2022
Carl, it’s really a matter of staying occupied with other stuff and just trying not to dwell on how long it takes. It’s not going to be a completely redone boat but we are taking it a little further then I initially thought we would. It’s hard to find that right place to stop. But I’m figuring spend...

Figure two couples its about $30K "ALL IN". Hence why I have not gone yet, but why I am able to refit the boat. Haha. On another note we have done a couple of trips to Cabo and fished on Redrum. We were able to do those trips from NY almost entirely on credit card points (hotel and airfare).

That is a nice option. It would have to be bolted to the floor which is easy, with some reinforcing. Question would be what the length should be. I believe we have about 50 inches to play with.

Peter Is that going to give you enough room for two adults? You have to center one side on the helm, so not sure you will be able to walk around both sides to enter and exit. The seat will be centered on the wheel, so there is enough room from either side, similar to Dugs set up. Two adults sitting...

I had measured my seats to the height of a normal dining room or desk chair since I don’t have an alternative foot rest. For me that feels much better then your feet dangling. If you are going to install a foot rest you can go higher. I may do that on my new double wide seat with flip up bolster.

Beautiful drawing and execution on the old boat. The lines look a lot like the new Albemarles. I may suggest considering moving things a bit more forward and giving yourself more cockpit space. Unless you have an elaborate cabin worked out.

I’ve seen table tops that have the mounts that you’d use to put a BBQ in a rod holder. But they slide into the rod holders on the arms of the chair. Then you don’t need to remove the chair, you can just take off the footrest and backrest of the chair.

During Sandy I stayed in the water way up river and survived without issue. Not impressed at all, the drop in hull liner with no toe kick going up the sides of the boat along with the living room in the bow. It’s a lot like so many options in the unfishable CC market.
E85
In 2005 I sold my “OJ” bronco when gas went to 3.50 a gallon and a fill up passed $100. We had later purchased my wife a 2013 Durango, not having any clue it could take regular 87 or E85. Over the years we occasionally put E85 in the tank. We now have over 110k miles, with no ill effects. We are mor...

With my 454s and trim tabs, I was able to stay on plane at about 13.5 kts. I never really tested it, so I guess a lot of conditions could vary that. For the bow to drop down it was a bit faster.
