Emblem CAD data

Post by beatrixmartin »

Hi All,

My son is experimenting with a laser engraver and a CNC router and I think he needs some good trials (he doesn't know it yet). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

I messed around with it a while back and only got so far with it as I had other fish to fry.

I found a logo online and did a few tests with it

Essentially the image is 2d and to get 3d results one needs to convert it to 3d. The eagle came out decent but the V and the difference between the black and white did not look as expected as the cut only occurred on one of the colors and 3d wise should be cut on both. I didn't have the time to figure that out or any of the other issues so the results were ok but not great. At some point over the winter I will go back at it again as there are a few parts I'd like to make.
