Rudder packing
Can Gortex be used for rudder packing? For some reason I seem to recall seeing somewhere that it shouldn’t be used.

It is not really needed in the rudder packing. It was really designed for high speed operation. If I remember correctly, Capt. Pat said it had a tendency to drip when used for rudder packing.
