Anyone know the perko numbers for the pilaster bridge steps and transom steps on the 31?

Bruce, I have a set of B-31 pilaster bridge steps in my shop and will check to see if any numbers can be found on them.

Does anybody know if there are steps for the 28, that HANG down from the fly bridge rear lip, so that I could get rid of the ladder?
The 31 steps do not work well for the 28, as the protruding lip is quite important and the height differential between deck and fb requires more steps.
If nobody knows nothing about fb hanging steps for the 28, I'll have to make my own.
Thanks.

Bruce, the number on the mounting side of the pilaster wing steps is "C-365" on the port step and "C-365 Right" on the starboard step.

Thanks Tommy.

Never saw 31 style steps on any of the 28's I came across.

Stainless tubing and a good welder can do anything I would guess.

Hi John,

Thanks for your interest but I'm holding onto hope that there will be another B-31 in the cards for me at some point, so I'm saving them just in case. If my situation changes I'll keep you in mind. Where are you located?

Mike, thanks for posting my pics of the pilaster bridge steps and their numbers. I hope this is helpful to Bruce and others.

Does Perko have these buried in a shed somewhere, hence the need for the part numbers?

I do apologise in advance for my query:

As it seems there's no way to find these items anymore and even Bayliss Boatworks on their refurbished 31, went for Perko's foldable steps which, with all due respect, are quite ugly on side pillars, I'm wondering why nobody thought to realise some silicon/wax mold, to replicating these nice side steps?
I'm quite confident many 31 owners would be more than happy to pay Buck$$ for those components, SportFish ones above all

If I'd manage finding someone selling or borrowing them here, I promise I'll make a mold and send them to you

Yannis, I built motor boxes on my 28, and did away with the ladder. I have cummins 4bt's in that boat, and the engines would rub against the original engine lid. The motor boxes helped me do away with the ladder

Shannon,

Too much work to create boxes just to avoid the ladder, UNLESS, as you're saying, your motors simply don't fit!

What is more important, however, than the ladder itself, is how to avoid to have to go up before you go down into the cabin, coming from the deck. And this is a mind twister as the motors below extend sideways into the void so you cannot simply cut the lid in the middle and lower it...this would have been a gift to my aging meniscuses...
