Steve-
My boat is kept on a mooring so there are limited opportunities for me to use a charger. I've purchased a charger connection kit http://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GC016-Dashmo ... ge_o02_s00 for a NOCO charger that I have and like.
This may not be a good solution for you but for me I can use the charger on other stuff during the week and then when the opportunity arises for a recharge it's easy to plug in (as long as I don't forget to bring it to the boat...)
Good Luck-

I bought a Pro Mariner 12-40P last summer with the idea of upgrading over the winter, but then I sold the boat. The new one already has a 40 amp charger, so its just sitting in my basement. It must be installed in a dry location, but if you're interested let me know.

I picked up a 1240i on Craigs List. Just installed. Seems to be working fine. We'll see how long it lasts. But for $65 it was worth a try.
