Couple of Bertram 35 questions

Post by waggles02673 »

I figured I could get the answer to my questions here as everyone is so helpful. We are still trying to narrow down if we will buy a 37 Bert or save some money and get a 35. A 35 with Cat 300hp 3208's what are the real world numbers, cruise and fuel burn we could expect to see on a well cared for boat loaded heavy to fish? Thanks

I tried doing a search for posts by Charlie Haws but struck out. Not sure if he monitors the board any more but his 35 has Cats.

I will would think about a 22 knot cruise, but that is a guess.

If you can find a post from you can send him a PM.

Post your questions on the Bertram 33 forum. Several B35 owners frequent the site. Haws used to be there often but I haven't seen him there in several months.

I had a 35 Bert. with 320hp cats. 4 blade prop., 24x24. 506 gear. Cruise was 24 kts. @ 2400 rpm's. The boat was a 1972 model. We did not cut the hull for bubbles. I sold this boat and 5 yrs. later brought our present 31 bert. and installed 315 Yanmars. My son is just about finished doing the boat over. New deck, rechroming all metal topside and painting.
