Worked on A Sea-Vee center console Yanmar diesel today.

Owner bought it used and was wanting me to look it over.

When he lifted the front seat, there was a metal grating above the engine and brown caked stuff on the engine underneath.

When I inquired, he replied the old owner liked to do overnight fishing trips.

The shelf held a large pot of chile and was heated by the engine everytime he went out.

Brown stuff on engine was old chile.

Good thing it is a center console boat.

Imagine what kind of problems would have become noticable if it had an enclosed helm.

Should have been cooking chickens and pork. Could have had a grease collection system underneath and been generating his own fuel while running.

Sort of a twist on the GPU.....
