Hello.

I am replacing two deadman in my dock as they are rotted. Where can I get the galvanized rod to run from the dock to the buried pole? I have already dug it all up.

Remove all the opening and fittings. Get all the fuel out that you can. Put kitty litter in it remove the last little trace of fuel and then let it air out of a couple days.

You nose is the best tester of fuel vapor.

Dont give up your USCG license. At least do this. Its cheap and easy and will allow you to reactivate your license when you are ready if you want later on.

The law is visibility over distance. It is very difficult to measure and no one will know the difference. You cant go wrong with the brighter one but if my memory is still good boats over 20 meters need the brighter one. I previously looked into an LED replacement bulb but at $40 it was not worth it.

I am glad no one was hurt. The 31 looks like someone put a lot of time and effort into making it perfect. The water damage and starboard side damage will most likely send it to boat heaven.

That is a strange looking conning tower.

It does not look like an Ohio, Los Angeles, Seawolf, or Virginia class sub?

I suspect USCG was aboard as Navy can not do boardings. That is why USCG cant go into DOD.

They have proven to be great engines. I regularly fish a 30 Grady White Marlin with the new F300s and they quiet and powerful. The new electronic controls are very smooth. The only downside is the price as street price per engine is still $20k each and the new controls/harnesses are another expense....

Clean the carb.

I know it seems certain to be a coil issue but I would pull apart and clean the carb first. The venturi's clog easily with todays crappy fuel.

I would do that before you spend a dime.
