I use the stanadyne. I guess it is good, it sure doesn't do harm.

With the Yanmars, they start easy, don't smoke and run smooth, and get great economy.

the Stanadyne product is supposed to enhance all of that.

Personally, I own the Bertram 31, a home made rowboat (Cedar and mahogany, pretty!) and a dinghy. Plus the uninflated liferaft. Plus a 24' open water rowing shell. Todd, The 31 can ride better, depending on many things. I like the way mine rode vs. a friends b28. That is my opinion. Also my opinion that the 31 is roomier outside the cabin. Access, maneuverability, getting to the foredeck etc. is easier on my boat than on the 28. 60 grand will buy a damned nice...
