Message me your email or post if you like. I will send you pictures of mine. I can't get dimensions as I am not close, hence my silence. But you can see pictures and maybe thats better than nothing?

Question is whether they will go back and re-do everything that is off...

Re: Two Bertram 31's displayed at the Boston Boat show
So. Steve, yes, it is Double Bogey from that listing. She’s even prettier in person, even though not my taste. Definitely a howdy boat. Beautiful fit and finish, and wonderful craftsmanship. She’s a pretty howdy boat, and a handful of upkeep. But very nice and really well done. Sadly the second one,...

Re: Two Bertram 31's displayed at the Boston Boat show
Tony, I agree. But then I wonder. The market seems to me to be divided. On one end, you can buy a running 38’ Special for under $85,000 and a 54’ for $300,000. But then again, the Hinkley’s draw millions, and they have sold a bunch of Bertram 35’s for $750,000 plus each. So depending on the guy with...

Two Bertram 31's displayed at the Boston Boat show
I am going to the show tomorrow, and am looking forward to seeing two Bertram 31's that are on display. The first is Gif Plume's old boat. After the transporting accident she was apparently purchased by McDougals marine on Cape Cod and "renovated" and repaired. The boat has been brought up to like n...

Marlin, I LOVE that Dry Bilge System. I closed off the cabin bilge and isolated it, yet it still retains some water and hence that stank. Winter project! Re-arming my inflatable life jacket
Did a quick winter project today. When I woke this morning it was -8 outside so I figured I would need a good solid project to occupy me for at least an hour. For my tools I use a Veto ProPack bag. It is an upright pocketed bag that has zippered compartments, so if it dumps the tools don’t fall out. It has a solid plastic bottom to keep it dry. Its really well made and has held up for a few years without a problem at all! I love mine. https://www.vetoprop...

Well, I did think the 26 lb anchor was WAY too heavy! Phew!
Maybe I will look at the Fortress and see what it would take to “make” it fit the chalks. Hmmm.
And Carl, yep, if I send mine out, it would be a favor for sure.
All awesome feedback!
Thanks!

This is probably a technical question of some ridiculous level. I am contemplating a new anchor. The reason is that it is...

SAburke, do not cut out the transom. You do not need a new transom. The transom of the B31 is a thin one, but NO CORING. It is not uncommon to have the cracking others have referenced, but it is not an indication of rot. If your guys are telling you they drilled a hole and got balsa out of it, they ...

Kirk, This has been a recurring question over the years. They are hard to come by but originally made by Pompanette. You may have some luck with them in getting a re-creation. Howdy Fighter! You are right, its about 15'. They can be hauled, but no hard top, radar arch, etc. Flybridge does not need to come off. They are best in a following sea.
