Tim, yep-I will be around, call me.
Buju, it was a great trip. Inshore was hard work but Alex proved once again he is the MAN at Bud's and we crushed the sails. All in all a great stress-reliever. Next year, I'll have at least one boat down there...

Amazing job of flying and keeping one's head. As to the goose issue, at Pease where I keep my plane, they pay ppl to shoot em. They used to do at Logan, but the peta-types managed to get it stopped. My guess is that goose-eradication in and around commercial airports will begin in earnest again-at l...

Patrick, that's one helluva lot easier than what I went thru to install mine on the B25. Dug, the QL's are fantastic. I first put them on the B20 and they worked great. I need to remove and re-install them on the B25 as the way I installed them was not perfect. I will use Patrick's idea and do it ri...

Well Mark, I can tell you this: when I did the Bertram 25 as a Rybo-style Express, I powered her with twin D3 160's, so that should tell you a little about how I feel! The B20 with the D3 160 was a great combo. I put a 75 gallon tank in her and she weighted in at 3,600 full of fuel. At 27 kts cruise...

Kinda bittersweet, but the new owner will have her soon. She'll be living in Nassau, the Bahamas and I'm real happy with the new owner and location-couldn't be better, IMO. Pretty appropriate too, that it snowed the whole time we were loading her up-last snow she's likely to ever see. Kudos to Big A...

I agree with Walter and as someone with 3 Volvo D3 160's, 1 in the B20 and 2 in the B25, I feel that I can speak from experience on this one. These engines are far and away the best choice for such a conversion. I've been in a boat powered by those 170 hp motors built under contract to one mfr for a...

According to my surveyor, there is VERY little benefit to documenting a boat these days. Most states force you to pay registration fees as opposed to years ago wherein you could docuument and escape those fees as well as the attendant excise and other state/sales/local taxes. Look into it b4 you do ...

Mark, Will you be running a genset to charge the house bank under way or do you want to do it with the engines? No genset Bruce, just engine alternators and shore power. What's the inverter size? Haven't chosen one yet, but I'm leaning towards an 1800 watt Does the inverter charger charge more than...
