Sounds right to me. That 30 amp breaker is probably a little much for a 3.5 KW set. My calculation show 3.5 KW @ 120 volts is 29.16 amps. Might want to back off to a 25 amp breaker. A shop vac is a power eating sucker.....

I went with the 6.5 KW Phasor, three cyl. Kubota. It's called the "pancake" model, actually a little smaller than my old 5.5 KW Phasor. Advertised in B&H for $6.750 HE colled model. I paid a little less since it was ordered and paid for before Katrina.

The transom hull numbers apply to all boats built in or after November, 1972 when the Safe Boating Act (federal law) went into effect. Before that they were usually marked in magic marker or on a glassed in strip of paper. Most pre-1972 B31s have that under the port v-berth.
