I did the outer cavities (outboard of the stringers) of my 25 with 4 lb foam to quiet things down and soften the ride. After my experience with the 20's new foam, I think it'sa good idea. That said, I would not fill the stringers-you really don't gain anything at all, IMO...

My powder coating guys use a hi temp version of Lab Metal in for repairing otherwise good production parts b4 coating them. One thing, tho, the stuff goes bad pretty fast, so buy the least amount you can. Also, price a few welding shops-you might be surprised at how reasonable such a repair might be...

Call Erik Kent at KentFab in Hanover, MA 781.659.3355. They did my tower, but they do a bang up job on tanks. I saw at least 10 different tanks being built while I was there-top notch organization. I don't know about the install portion, but they'll be able to tell you about that...
