Yep, I know, however, when I redo a Bert, I close in all holes, including those. Soooo, right now I have no holes anywhere. With the lead time being several months, I need to put some cleat system up there until the chock comes in. The save would be if someone had a trashy one I can powdercoat and u...

I install my tanks with 1/4" by 1" wide strips on the bottom of the tank in order to allow air and/or water flow. They are welded to the tank and also serve as attachment flanges on the tank pad. Additionally, I put angle brackets on the top of the tank that extend to the stringers. This is similar ...

Hey Timmay, this island house I rented has internet, so I'm here to harass you. First things first, I'm buying a property here-it's amazing. Second, I thought you were kidding about the collapes thing-guess not. I guess my shrink-wrap structure career is a flop. In any case, I'll be needing a glass ...

It's the size/power provisions in the DAS permitting system that drove almost all the dayboats out of the biz. The reason nmfs gives for the 15% provision is pegged to larger boats and the unfortunate by-product of that was teh destruction of the dayboat fisheries. From nmfs' standpoint, the conspir...

No worries Randall. When Vic continually slams things about which he has little or no practical experience, the other side can be put forth, without name-calling and fits of pique, even with a little humor injected. When my opinion about Yanmars was assailed, I backed off because it was just that, m...

Vic, you just can't help yourself can you? You denegrate new things without the benefit of understanding them. Faithful, pity him and his new-phobia. Don't give him the benefit of an explanation for said pity. 900 units in the field without a failure so far, Vic. Yep, real junk . You just don't get ...

Center of gravity and weight distribution, B25...
The published COG on a Hard top B25 with 165's is 16'5" aft of the bow. My thought to properly distribute the weight of 190 gallons of fuel is to straddle this COG, with one tank aft and one tank forward of it. However, this leaves me with a huge amount of dead space forward. I can use it, but I'm w...
