No! Epoxy won't take the heat of an exhaust system. Use either polyester or Vinylester resin for any construction that has to handle exhaust heat...

Acrylic isn't a very good choice of materials for flat windows; too much distortion and it doesn't age well... Glass would be preferable.

Stacked with the others, Rule pumps are still a good brand. Their switches tend to be on the crappy side, but the pumps are the best... Ultra Safety Systems make the best switches.

Coosa and Penske are virtually the same product... I'd opt for that over the Nida core.

Good luck on the upgrade, that's a hellofa' big job. I hate any builder that used balsa core in a horizontal manner...

No, there will still be metal to metal (electrical) contact even with Teflon tape. The tape only fills up tiny gaps between the threads...

David, 1.8kw just ain't gonna' cut it for air conditioning... You need at least a 3.5kw to run 16k btu along with additional power loads. The best option, in my opinion, is manufactured by Next Gen . A bubble wouldn't account for a pint & a half of loss... There's gotta' be a puddle somewhere, likely on the bridge or transom bilge. If the transom bilge it'll be in the center. If there's water there, the oil will be floating on top.

Looking for recomendations...

I know that several of you have chartered fishing boats in the Cabo San Lucas area and I looking for recommendations.

Time frame: 3rd week in November, party of 4 or 5 adult men. Vessel size between 40' -50', probably multiple day charter.
