I posted about 2 weeks ago. I put the West Marine paint on last Friday. The only difference I could see was in the amount of Copprus oxide.
West is 37% and is made by Pettit.
Act is 41% and is made by Interlux.
I'll check it out in July and see how it holds up.

Things will get better. The years 1979 to 1982 were very bad, infact worse than now. We had 11.5% unemployment, 17% mortgage rates, 21% prime rate and 13% inflation. How many of you remember getting 16% on your CD? A friend of mine lost a nice apartment building in SE Florida, I don't remember the c...

West Marine CPP Ablative paint
Has anyone tried this antifouling paint? I saw it advertised last year and a I got a flyer in the mail from West Marine showing same.
This stuff is lot cheaper than some others. Must be a reason.
Also, Boaters World came out with some water based Antifouling paint.
Any thoughts?

I'm with you guys on the 20x23's. I have to tell you I ran into Richard Mastery at the Miami boat show. He was adamant in telling me that everyone is wrong. They should be 20x21 he said, then he went into a tirade about how much more he knows about the 31's and Yanmars then anyone else. He had a bad...

I have a fiberglass cockpit deck that I have been painting with Awlgrip for 4 years. We do a lot of fishing and the paint takes a beating. Looking for something that will hold up better. How about a material called "Gator Grip"? Any answers will be appreciated.

My first Loran was the TI9000 which showed 1 TD at a time for about 5 seconds, then we would plot our location and then figure out our next course. The stuff they have out t...

Brewster, i went to that show about 7 or 8 years ago and it looked like the only boats they were showing were cocktail boats with a foreign accent. For me it's the AC show in early Feb. Probably the 2nd best show in the USA. Miami is still No. 1.

I agree with Zero, that hole can only inhale so much air, plus i can clean the air filters at least once. I don 't know what the cost of a Cummins air filter is, but the Yanmar is not expensive at all.
