Bob,

My tank is in the same location also, against forward bulkhead and a bit bigger at 45 gallons vs 32.. I think the weight differential between the original 6 and the new 4 helped lighten it up... in any case she does sit high..

Ian, I have the 3.0LX package w/gen 2 alpha 1.. It was put in the by the p/o in 1999 .. He also painted the hull and established the water line .. The chines sit about 1" clean out of the water.. way to high .. I was thinking of adding some weight to her with another battery and some lead in the bow...

Well, just got back from 8 hours at harbor.. At about 2pm all hell broke loose and the wind went from a steady Easterly 25, which we're protected from, to a fully exposed SW 40/50 with gusts over that for a solid 5 hours..... We lost 14 moored boats in the first 2 hours ....Most landed on beach 4 sm...

At the end of the year when I haul, the ablative is all but gone. No growth on the old bottom paint. I am sure it looses some of its protection over time but its still better then nothing. I plan on 3 coats of ablative, I've gotten about a full season for each coat before I need to paint on another...

John, That would be great...

Captbone, and John, it does look like acid etching but I bet it could be duplicated very close with reverse engraving if the shop had a CNC engraver.. Just have to find an engraver with the right equipment.....
