Not uncommon to spline/glue up....much more stable .. just have to match grain.. We rarely use a piece that wide unless it's absolutely necessary and it hardly ever is..

Tunawish... One of the guys in the building where I am working on my boat just bought a bunch of 14" wide 4/4 teak to make covering boards for a 1960 Merritt he is working on. Beautiful stuff.. no blemishes.. perfect! If he's got 14" wide stock 90% it will be Burmese....Very rare if we see anything...

Does anyone else think that only 3 bolts holding the seat post down is a little weak..?
Especially sitting on that bump out...?? I would think the forces on that extension will be brutal in heavy seas..

Before you choose the led lights, ask to see if they offer the new warm color that's been available.. Some companies have finally started offering it and it's a nice look compared to the blueish glare that's been associated with LED's in the past...

There is a very limited buyer protection plan but it has to be listed as such and then only if the seller cares about his status in the "e-bay community"
.. ie his seller rating etc...

When I called them with bleeding complaints they admitted they had started outsourcing overseas. The 316L from China is not always the same as 316L from her...

There is a 25 for sale in the NY / NJ area that had what I thought was decent design for a pulpit.. It was fabricated from Aluminum..interior support pic also..A bit overbuilt but done well.. I believe it was a black or dark blue hull...
