Re: New Bertram plant already shut down

I could write a book on dealing with Bertram during the 7 or so years I ran the Mid-Atlantic Rendezvous. Lots of promises, but only a few kept. We had a great venue, large turnouts, and good foot traffic. Bertram never did any advertisement. Marine Max did even less. They had a great place to attrac...

Re: Knee Surgery Postponed until next month

Got the new knee a little over a week ago. Swelling is going down and pain is under control. This morning I am walking around without the walker or cane. Just went up two flights of stairs to surprise the wife. All she did was yell at me for being stupid. "You could have fallen". I think I am making...

Thanks again.

Re: best boat in the 45 to 50 ft range?

I have spent a lot of time on Tom's boat. It is rock solid and the Manns perform very well. I helped Tom bring her up from FLA a couple of years ago. We spent a number of hours in big seas. The boat was solid and stable. We have caught tuna and sharks and it trolls and drifts very well. Tom has got ...

Re: Epoxy Barrier Coat & Bottom Paint

I have done two bottom jobs. One on my 28B in the 1990's and another on my 35B a couple of years ago. In the 90's the process was a bit different. The drying times or next coat times were very narrow and very critical. When I went to do the 35B the windows were much easier to work with. Apply the fi...

Re: Knee Surgery Postponed until next month

Fourth knee replacement? Why? I am about to have one done. The doc told it should last me 10-15 years and then I could either die or get it done again. I am choosing to get it done again. I ground up a knee in less than a year. I went from 100 miles per hour to zero in about 9 months. The doc said p...
