Broadus Rose makes a one piece fiberglass frame for Bertrams. I've seen them and they are nice. The pair I saw were for the side windows on a Bertram 31. I was told they sell for eight hundred per side including glass. His web site is boatwindowframes.com. Buzz

The guy that builds those frames is a friend of mine. He got started building frames because he owns a yard at Garret Bay Marine Industrial Park and owns a 58 Hateras with very leaky windows. He didn't want aluminum frames so he started building one piece replacement fiberglass frames for Hatteras'....

I see you're in Morhead City. I've used a guy named Will Harding at Carolina Yachts. He has a shop in Beaufort. He's done some work on my boat. I thought his prices were fair. You may work to give him a call 725 3819. Buzz

Check out the 33 Bertrams. I own a 1988 Bertram 33 FBC with 315 Cummins and we really like the boat. It has 2 staterooms , a nice sofa in the lounge area and a tournament style flybridge. My cockpit is smaller than the sport fisherman but our cabin is larger. We go tuna fishing and don't have any tr...

keeping lenses clean

Obviously marine growth on the lense is going to block the light and during the summer the growth grows so fast how often do you have to clean the lense? What do you use to clean the lense without scratching them up? Thanks Buzz
