Try EasyOff oven cleaner on paint. It worked well on the name painted on my transom
Easwood has a rubber disk that chucks into a drill for use on tapes.
Careful use of a heat gun (real careful) can work on tape, too.

Theoretically, components sold to "registered" manufacturers are not taxed until they are assembled into a finished product. Then, the tax is applied to the value of the completed item when it is sold.
