I'm guessing that fuel tanks and the grid system under the deck were improved as time went on. The pic you shared of your single tank looked an awful lot like my pic of the "46 gallon" fiberglass tanks that were in my boat. I've modified a bunch of parts during my project, I agree with Cam in that it adds a lot of work. ok further comparisons trying to do apples to apples, comparing the boat at the same speed in kts, it does seem to be more efficient in cruising speeds. What is interesting is that most of that efficiency gain has eroded by 27kts the sparrow at 23kts /5.0GPH / 3500 RPM vs standard prop 23.9kts / 6.2...

I can't say if it is a good sign for the stripers, I didn't catch a slot fish this year, all were 30# or bigger or sub 24". It seems like there is a gap in the year classes.
