Goodbye Uncle Vic

Dear Uncle Vic It was 13 years ago and I was refitting “Apple Pie”, the only Bertram 31 in Southern Africa. On trawling the Internet looking for help in answering my questions I found you. Cap’n Pat found us on a boating board “in amongst howdy boaters and blubliners” and invited us to joi...

You're right Uncle Vic, the jostling for 2nd place at all past UVII's would have been a done deal with a fish like that. Stephen always gets a glassy look in his eye thinking about the Silicone Sisters. I am told that he still keeps his hula-hooping skills finely honed for his comeback one day. Rega...

Main differences between here and Zimbabwe are as follows: Only a small percentage of land has been earmarked for restitution to black owners. Government does not expropriate but pays market prices. The black recipient...

SOUTH AFRICANS AT TSL ?

Well UV, on reading all the posts and looking at the pics Andre sent me, it seems that a great time was had by all. Did you take a bottle of "The Fatal Shot" with you to initiate UVII newcomers ? Looking at the TSL website and fishing report I saw the staff names Hennie & Ursula Marais, which sound ...
