Re: Cockpit floor removal

I did have work done on the hatches several years ago.
Had a cockpit door installed at same time.

Now makes sense why that’s glassed in like that.

Thanks for the input.

Much appreciated

I think this worked. The second photo is of the spot I was most perplexed about. BTW, I am standing over the hatch where the generator would go. Bottom of the picture is towards the stern of the boat. I just don’t see where there is a seam where the caulk would be, and there are no screws visible, l...

Anthony, You are correct on the fact that the plywood bulkhead is a bad design. Overall been happy with the boat, but the way it was put together, makes me wonder why Bertram had such a good reputation. For just little extra work, it could have been done so much better. Sigh, Ya I know I'm dreaming

There is room to epoxy in a sister, but will need to remove copious amounts of wiring, lines, and everything else attached to the bulkhead. Agree about that silly idea of an extra head in forward Master. Wasted space Its gone in mine to put a small seat and extra storage space. QSM is a big engine in that space. I like the idea of getting the generator out of that hole in the middle of the cockpit. Nothing but a rust trap. To move the gen forward, you have to move that aluminum water tank. Re: LED light bulbs for home. Extremely pleased.

Bob,

Those numbers you are using are for degrees Kelvin. i.e. 2700-2900k, for warm,
Is there a chart for Lumens, since that seems to be what the LED packages are rated in?

Now it seems to be that a 120w old type incandescent bulb is rated at 800 lumens.

Am I missing something in the conversions?
