They look like Stewart Warner Volt gauges. As far as sizes, they are pretty standard. 2” is pretty common, just pull and measure the hole size. That is a no nonsense approach, should work well. Maybe a down side is having to orient the bow to the sun for maximum charging through the day. Yannis- Stern-mounted rudders were recently mentioned in JayJay's post, Prop Rake n Attitude. The T on the top of the rudders prevents them from ventilating/sucking air. Not needed when rudders are under the hull in the standard setup.
