And before you do anyting clean up the rams on the cylinder, if you haven't already. Moving it with hardened crud and/or corrosion on them can damage the seals or introduce dirt into the system. Rawleigh

That is what they run in the 15 boat fleet at Tropic Star Lodge. According to the staff there they are very reliable. They are slow and LOUD though.

The local OBGYN used toi haqve a sailboat named "Papman". He also had a batman like symbol on the saill that, upon closer examination, turned out to be a woman in the stirrups!! Needless to say, that didn't last long!

The yard I use won't let you soda blast because of the corrosive effect it has on the aluminum and other parts on the other boats around the yard. The dust cloud travels pretty far, and if the other oats aren't washed off thoroughly it can cause big problems.

The problem is that the poor quality fuel base that is sent down the pipeline for mixing with Ethanol is worthless without it. You have to be in an area the doesn't have RFG to get the good stuff.

Get Marine Clean from http://www.por15.com/. It is the most amazing cleaner that I have tried. I use it diluted 5:1 with water. It easily beats Simple Green or Castrol. I just cleaned a used lathe with it that diesel fuel would not even touch. It made it squeky clean and ready for paint! Non flammab...

Most additives are not formulated for use with Bio. Like Bruce said check on it. I think that Power Service may make one. Biocide should be all that you need, as bio has built in lubricity.

The glycerine in the oil will eventually kill his injectors, plus there is no telling what is in used cooking oil without testing it. Some of the fryer cleaning agents are death on engines!! It can be converted into biodiesel by transesterfication to remove the glycerine.

I know of two 28's for sale here in VA. One has 351 Windsor Fords and is rough, but complete. It can be had for $7,500. The other is in better shape and has new Mercruiser EFI engines in it with raised engine hatches. It is an unfinished project boat that can be had for $10,500 to 14,000.

The bad news is the large reduction in lubricity in ULSD that will wear injectors and injector pumps. The sulfer removal process has as a side effect the removal of a lot of the lubricating esters from the diesel. Use an additive such as Stanadynes or Power Service or add as little as 2% Biodiesel.

While you have the liner out you should epoxy an aluminum backing plate to the wooden blocking for the cleat, through drill the wood and tap the plate so that the cleats are held by the metal and not by just the four big wood screws.

Use the Ultra Pump switch from Wolf Wire who also sells Tef Gel. Those are much better switches than anything else on the market. They are listed under the Links section of the old site. I've used the higher end Rules with no complaints.

I took out my table and it makes a huge difference! Much more room for tackle boxes. etc. I would like to go to a fore-aft mounted seat that pulls out into a bed, but in the mean time I was thinking about a smaller hinged table that would fold flat against the wall.
