My original tank was just sitting in a vat of foam. Stringers on both side, bulkhead fore and aft. Just a tank in the middle of foam, no tabbing, no stringers support, not a cradle, or shelf.
From what I see the foam completely supported the tank and evenly dispursed the weight onto the hull. The foam flexed with the motion of the hull. Now the weight is just on the pads in several locations. Not to mention as the hull flexs it will put more pressure on some, less on others. Maybe not an issue, as I have learned Bertams are like no other boat.
My deck is being supported the same way it was before, my supports are outboard the center stringers and have maghogony strips running from the rear shelf to the bulkhead just behind the motors. The outer stringer has a 1 x 8 supporting the outer deck.
