New Tank Installation ? More Support

I put the new 220 gallon Alum tank in last night. Tank has been Coal Tar Epoxied and I attached strips (9.5" apart, on center) of material crosswise, to keep the tank up from the hull, allow air to do it job and allow water to drain freely, very similiar to the Lightening Shack install.
Being differnent from original Foam Supported tank, I have concerns about this tank just sitting on pads laid onto the hull. Is this a normal method of installation. I am unnerved after I reading the David Pascoe Survey, article on tank installations that says " never attach a tank to the hull"
Last night after finishing,I was convinced I should order the foam and redo that way. Today I am back on the fence.
Thanks,
Carl
