Range???

Well I think we got a little overzealous. Wanted to go for a 2 & 1/2 day trip out of Galveston. We figured we would need 370 gal of fuel (gas) for trip and troll and reserve. We also had 4 ice chests (full) a good amount of beer, some water, quite a bit of gear and three guys. We could not get on a plane. We were burning .45 mpg and doing around 10 knots. WOT only 3000 rpm due to the 1800lbs we had in the cockpit. Put everything we could in the nose but no good still could not get up? Is there any hope of a gasser with this kind of load? We were getting around .8 mpg with a full tank and 4 guys one ice chest and gear? Do I need more weight up front or am I fighting battle?
