I checked into tanks when I thought I was going to have to replace mine, but I'm able to avoid enthanol for at least another season.

When looking into it, as I recall I found that stainless tanks weren't USCG approved for charters (unless they were an odd shape and didn't exceed something like 90 gallons), and weren't ABYC approved for pleasure boats. If it were me, I'd check into the ABYC aspect, because you don't want your stainless tank getting flagged in a survey if you ever go to sell your boat. I had pretty much decided that I'd go with aluminum, but I was going to do some more looking around.
