In Response To: oil analysis (John Cranston)

John,
If the temp got over 230 then the oil and coolant should be changed.

An oil sample will tell you if coolant is present in the oil indicating a crack or warp condition.

But it depends how hot the engine got.

Anything over 260, and it should be checked by a Uanmar mechanic.

Most larger cities have places to take the sample to. Check yellow pages or ask any marine service outfit.
