Outrigger stability

Guys,
I just had a set of Rupp standard outriggers mounted on the side of my flybridge. They seem to make the side on the flybridge flex alot, Should they be backed up with stronger material? Any thoughts appreciated.

I am in Annapolis for any locals that would like their boats to meet others of their kind.
