My $43 Walmart Special made in Korea runs fine in the salon , starboard side , bottom. Behind it all open where some guys put a hot water tank. So with the open space there are no problems and they draw very little current. Keeps things super cold all the time it runs . I have a 1500 watt invertor on an auxilary 8D battery which I also use for the starboard engine to constanly recharge it.Dockisde a solar charger keeps the aux topped off. With 3 good 8D's plenty of power underway for weekend trips. I do keep those damp rids going in the salon as it is very humid down here in southern Florida. Like Bruce said make sure you have air space behind it for proper cooling. Dave K
