Chris you'll need a generator to run an AC unit. Even a small one such as a 5000 BTU. You will need two 8D batteries to run it and it will not last long. Not practical at all too much current demand. A 2.2 KW genset or a Honda portable 2 KW like many of the blow boaters are using will work for that current requirement. The little Honda 2KW job sells for about $900. It cost me $550.00 to install a 1500 watt inverter in mine and I did all the work and bought wholesale too.So that little Honda may be your ticket. Guys are putting them up in the bridge. Good luck.
